Air Europa will carry out air operations for the first time from Madrid to the Professor Juan Bosch International Airport, located in El Catey, Samaná .
The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) reported that operations will be carried out once a week (Saturday). From June 26 to September 4, 2021 on a Boing787 aircraft, with a capacity for 6,600 seats.
The JAC learned of the request for the Certificate of Economic Authorization (CAE) of Air Rotor Service to offer non-regular air transport services for passengers, domestic and international from La Isabela International Airport, Dr. Joaquín Balaguer (El Higüero).
The national air operator will be operating domestic flights throughout the country between public and private heliports and will be authorized to fly regularly, with passenger services, in an Airbus Helicopters aircraft, model AS350 BA with capacity for 4 passengers.
The president of the JAC, Civil Aviation Board (Spanish acronym), José E. Marte Piantini, highlighted that the new air operations will strengthen the sector and increase passenger and cargo traffic to the country.
Air Europa flies from Madrid to Santo Domingo, to Punta Cana and from Barcelona to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. In addition, from Bilbao to Santo Domingo and from Malaga to Punta Cana.
